Never Forget System ('NFS', operating at neverforgetsystem.com) is built on a strict Privacy-First Driver Data Standard. We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Unlike intrusive telematics platforms, Never Forget System does not perform covert background GPS tracking, does not sell driver data to insurance brokers, and collects only the minimum information required to deliver your vehicle compliance reminders.
2. Information We Collect
We apply strict data minimisation across our website and mobile pilot applications:
- • Vehicle Registration Marks (VRMs): Used to query MOT and Road Tax (VED) expiry dates and Clean Air Zone compliance.
- • Contact Details (Waitlist & Inquiries): Your name, email address, and optional message when you join the VIP Pilot Waitlist or contact us.
- • User-Entered Deadlines: Manual insurance renewal dates, parking timer durations, and 14-day PCN discount countdown dates.
- • Technical & Consent Data: First-party cookie preferences (nfs_cookie_consent) and anonymised security/diagnostic logs.
3. Lawful Basis & Purpose Limitation
Under UK GDPR Article 6, we process your information solely on the following lawful bases:
- • Performance of a Service (Article 6(1)(b)): Delivering MOT, Road Tax, parking, and PCN countdown alerts you explicitly request.
- • Explicit Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): Sending VIP Pilot updates or storing optional functional/analytics cookies when you opt in.
- • Legitimate Interests (Article 6(1)(f)): Protecting platform security, preventing automated abuse, and maintaining service reliability.
4. Data Retention & Security
We retain vehicle profile and waitlist records only for as long as you actively use Never Forget System or remain subscribed to our pilot programme. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS/HTTPS, and we never store sensitive personal data in unencrypted browser localStorage.
5. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
As a UK data subject, you have the right to access, rectify, erase ('right to be forgotten'), restrict, or export your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time with a single request.
